A single board for twenty wants to be at least 20 to 24 inches on its long edge, and even then it will need one refill. Two 16-inch boards placed at opposite ends of the table feed twenty better than one 24-inch board does, because they create two queues instead of one.
Is one big board better than two smaller ones?
Two smaller ones, almost always. Two boards mean two places to stand, which unclogs the room, and you can keep one in the fridge and swap it in when the first is picked over. The only argument for one huge board is visual impact on a long table.
How heavy is a large charcuterie board when loaded?
